Afterward, enjoy a traditional Thai lunch, fueling up for the adventure ahead.
Embark your trek through the Thai jungle.
End your day by staying overnight in a Karen village, experiencing local life with a delicious home-cooked dinner and an authentic night’s rest.
Start your morning with a hearty breakfast, preparing you for a 3 to 4-hour trek through the jungle to a beautiful rice field, where you’ll stop for lunch in the midst of nature.
After lunch, you’ll have two options: take a 2.5-hour trek that leads directly to the Lahu village, or opt for a 30-minute or one hour walk to the river.
If you choose the river route, enjoy an exhilarating bamboo rafting experience, navigating the rapids for 1 hour as you make your way to the Lahu village.
Upon arrival at the village, settle in for your second overnight stay, where you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and spend time with the locals, experiencing their way of life.
After breakfast, embark on another exciting bamboo rafting adventure for 1 to 2 hours, taking in the stunning scenery along the river.
Conclude your rafting journey with a tasty lunch to refuel.
Afterward, get ready for an unforgettable visit to see elephants! You’ll have the opportunity to meet, feed, and bathe these gentle giants, creating lasting memories of your adventure.

First Day
8.00 AMHotel pick-up followed by a one-hour drive to a local market in the Mae Taeng district, north of Chiang Mai. There, you’ll have time to buy essentials such as toilet paper, mosquito repellent, and any other necessities.
10.00 AMStop at Mok Fa Waterfall, where you can swim or relax while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
12.30 PMLunch at a local restaurant, savoring authentic Thai flavors before continuing your adventure.
13.45 PMBegin a 3-4 hour jungle trek at 850 meters above sea level. Along the way, your guide will share insights about the local plants, animals, and villages, answering any questions you may have.
17.00 PMArrive at a Karen village and meet your host family. Enjoy a home-cooked dinner, followed by a relaxing evening around a fire.
Second Day
8.00 AMEnjoy breakfast before setting off on the day’s trek deeper into the jungle.
9.00 AMpreparing you for a 3 to 4-hour trek through the jungle to a beautiful rice field, where you’ll stop for lunch in the midst of nature.
12.30 PMArrive at the beautiful rice field to rest and enjoy a Thai lunch amidst the serene surroundings.

16.30 PMUpon arrival at the Lahu village, take time to refresh yourself in the river. And enjoy dinner.
Third Day
8.00 AMEnjoy your breakfast with local tea, taking in the refreshing morning atmosphere of the Lahu village.
9.30 AMAfterward, board a bamboo raft along the Mae Teang River, taking in the natural beauty on both side of the river to visit a Chan village.
12.30 PMLunch will be prepared by the locals, offering an authentic taste of regional cuisine.
13.30 PMVisit an elephant sanctuary, where you’ll have the chance to feed and bathe the elephants. No riding is allowed to ensure ethical care and respectful interaction with the animals.
16.00 PMReturn to Chiang Mai (1 and half hour drive), We will arrive at your hotel around 17.00 PM.
**On our bamboo raft, we have a sturdy tripod to hang our bags. We also provide a waterproof bag, for your convenience, to protect your clothes and valuable items.

** The river rafting on special made bamboo rafts through the jungle is an exciting adventure. A combination of calm slow floating water and more wild white water. Possible to swim next to the raft if weather permit.

WHAT TO BRING

You must have sensible hiking shoes for the trek.
Recommend slippers or sandals for the bamboo raft and village stay.

PLEASE NOTE !

  • I would recommend the following items to bring with you on our trek: toilet paper, towels, flip flop or sandals, appropriate shoes for hiking (you can not rely on sandals/flip-flops for the hike), mosquitoes spray, jacket (it gets cold in the evening), flashlight, swimming suit.
  • In the village, there is no electricity and the toilet is an outhouse.
  • I would recommend bringing long trousers for the evening time in the village. However, you can wear shorts for the hike.
  • In the village you have the opportunity to buy beer, water and Coca Cola. There is also shower facilities, but no a hot water – a traditional village style wash!
  • In the room, for your bed, we provide a mattress, blankets, pillows and mosquito net.
  • Please only bring what you need as you have to carry your items – I would suggest that you leave the non-essential items in your hotel or in the car.
  • You can bring your camera, phone and other electronic equipment – during the traditional bamboo rafting, we have a waterproof bag for your convenience. We also can provide life jackets if you feel more comfortable with this.
  • The only items you will need to pay for are extra food and drinks. In the local villages there is no electricity and no hot water.

In both villages we will provide you with specially constructed accommodations, blankets, pillows, mosquito nets, basic toilets, and entry fees for all of the activities listed above.

In the village we do not have electricity and therefore you will not be able to charge your phone. I recommend that you fully charge your phone before going on the trip and bring a power bank.
